About Nigel Osner...

Nigel Osner is a writer, lyricist and occasional actor.

His children’s book ‘Magic in Ravenswood’, was published by Heinemann

“-- good marks for ‘Magic in Ravenswood’ --- All the characters are well-defined, the ravens of the wood being a nasty, tough crowd. There is enough irony to give it strength to deal with a traditional situation without going soft or silly.” Naomi Mitchison in the Times Educational Supplement

Nigel adapted the story into a musical, writing the book and lyrics. Called ‘Goblins Don’t Scare Us’, it was the Christmas show at the New End Theatre, London, in 2002/3. It has recently been performed in the United States.

He has also written the book and lyrics for a black comedy musical called ‘Rock Heaven’.

Nigel has performed his own character based lyrics and monologues at venues in London and elsewhere. He has also acted in a large number of short films and in 'The Drummond Will', a feature film, for which he recieved a nomination as best actor at the Newport International Film Festival 2010

Currently Nigel has started writing for film, including a script shortlisted for the short script award in the Supershorts International Film Festival 2008. He has recently completed two feature film scripts.
